I have personally collected over 200,000 "nos". First selling newspapers door-to-door at 14 and then as a telemarketer making cold calls before another 5 year stint doing door to door and business to business sales for multiple organizations. All by the time I was 22. That's when I realized I had done the repetitions I needed to make serious sales.
My next stop was working for a corporation that specialized in property management. I loved my first role in leasing and within 6 months became an Assistant Property Manager. But I was used to working with people directly instead of overseeing finances and collections, so I worked my way through several promotions in just 15 months to interact directly with others again. Along the way, I learned how to navigate through different sections of a well-functioning Real Estate Management business.
Finally, I worked my way up through different leadership positions, and they gave me the privilege of creating training and development for a huge team of people. I poured all of my professional multi-department experience into creating a program from scratch that had monthly group trainings as well as monthly time with each individual. It was only after the program that I realized what I developed was changing people's lives. How did I make that discovery? Because these trainees showed up in my office or called to tell me.
Not only were they excited by the progress they were making at work, but also in their personal lives at home with their friends and families. It was a thrill to know that the work I was doing was making such a huge impact on so many individuals, but I was bummed when I thought about how my help was limited by the size of that corporation.
Pretty quickly, I looked for a way to increase the extreme impact I could create, and started a podcast interviewing amazing individuals who were blazing their own professional trails. Sometimes, after the show, guests would encourage me, saying that I could help even more people if I started my own coaching business. Finally, I decided to take them up on that advice and have never turned back.

Confidence is one of the most vital tools we have both in business and life.Sometimes, even though we've worked hard to get and maintain confidence, real-life circumstances have a way of making us question ourselves. I'm no exception.
When I first started my own business based on the amazing concepts and skills I had learned in corporate, I sent a proposal to Client X, who needed help building out all of their business systems. During our next call, where we discussed the proposal, Client X told me that they were only willing to pay 10% of what I was asking. I told them that I wouldn't be able to provide everything they wanted for that amount, and they agreed. But once we got started, I totally over delivered and did so many things for such little money.
My confidence took a pretty big hit. But one amazing thing that came out of that interaction was that I knew exactly what my coaching clients would go through when they didn't value their own skills enough.
Eventually, through our work together, I was reminded of all the awesome skills I've collected throughout the years, and started to value myself again. My confidence was rebuilt and better than ever. Plus, I was able to keep an amazing relationship with Client X, who was so thankful for everything I did for them. It is my hope that if they ever need the kind of help I provided them again, they'll be more than willing to pay my full, updated prices.
First $20,000 Month in Less Than 6 Months
When Jessica hired me, I don't think she realized I would help her reach her first $20,000 month in less than half a year. The first time I met her, I could tell that her confidence needed some help. She was going through struggles in different areas and wanted to make sure she was set up to succeed in the next stage of life.
I knew I needed to remind her who she was and show her how valuable her expertise was if we wanted to get her confidence up. So, I took her through one of my introductory programs. By getting on camera with me, she was able to practice talking about her skills. Then, I walked her step by step through building a more robust sales process than what she had been trying to make work before.
When I opened up my next round of coaching, she told me that she didn't feel like she met the minimum criteria, but I told her I thought she did. We worked out a way for her to hire me as her coach, and that's when she started seeing a huge shift in the way her business was going. Once her confidence was solid and we developed a high-ticket program to reflect her awesome skills, that's when she hit that first $20,000 month.
Plus, I found out that a business "partner" had been taking huge chunks of Jessica's revenue while putting in minimum work and leaving the rest for her to do. I helped her strategically dissolve that partnership, and she was able to grow and scale on her own.
